Purpose: Lead a team of Maintenance Engineers to ensure efficient installation, upkeep, and repair of plant equipment, site services, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Allocate workloads and manage team schedules. Monitor performance and conduct reviews, return-to-work interviews, and manage absences and holidays. Mentor apprentices and support team development through training and upskilling.
  • Maintenance Operations: Oversee maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution. Drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. Support fault diagnosis and escalate issues as needed.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide daily updates to the Engineering Manager. Generate monthly KPI reports on plant and team performance. Maintain clear communication within the team and across departments.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety standards. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation. Manage contractor visits and ensure safe working practices.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead improvement projects within the department and cross-functionally. Ensure accurate use of SAP for parts ordering and reporting.
