Electrical Test Engineer Droitwich Permanent Up to £36,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Test Engineer to join a market-leading manufacturing company based in Droitwich. This hands‑on role offers the chance to work on complex electrical and control systems, playing a key part in ensuring high‑quality equipment is thoroughly tested, commissioned, and ready for customer delivery.
Main Duties
- Carry out comprehensive testing and inspection of equipment within a manufacturing environment
- Connect electrical, water, and mechanical systems to facilitate testing and commissioning activities
- Perform fault finding and diagnostics, including live PLC troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Utilise a range of test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power analysers
- Test and work safely with high‑voltage electrical systems
- Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to resolve technical issues and improve performance
- Complete accurate testing documentation and quality records
- Approve and sign off equipment prior to customer dispatch
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Electrical Test Engineer HNC qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of single and three-phase systems, along with high‑power electrical circuits
- Previous experience working with live electrical equipment
- A solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and schematics
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
- A meticulous approach with a strong commitment to quality and safety standards
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Mechanically minded with a practical, hands‑on approach
- Flexibility to undertake occasional international travel to meet the needs of the role
