Reporting to Engineering Manager, the Electrical Design Manager with be responsible for the following key areas:

Lead the design and analysis of earthing systems, utilising various software tools to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.

Oversee the in-house design and engineering team, promoting an efficient systems engineering approach.

Ensure the timely completion of design packages, meeting time, cost, safety, and environmental standards in line with client
and industry specifications.

Collaborate with external engineering consultants, delegating work packages to complement in-house efforts.

Liaise with Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to ensure design compliance with all relevant standards.

Manage the technical aspects of a team of engineers, ensuring all engineering deliverables are provided on time during both the
acquisition and execution stages of projects.
- Take responsibility for the quality and technical delivery of design solutions, ensuring they align with least whole-life cost
principles.

Proven experience as an Electrical Design Manager, with a strong background in electrical power distribution.

In-depth knowledge of HV and LV design solution development and practical implementation.

Relevant engineering qualifications (BEng / MEng in Electrical, Civil, or Process Engineering are preferred).

Experience with earthing system analysis.

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships with clients and
stakeholders.

Proactive and solution-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

A valid full driving licence is required, with occasional travel as needed.
