Our client, a respected engineering organisation in Cirencester, is seeking an E‑Commerce Account Manager to take ownership of their digital sales channels, marketplace accounts, and customer portal.
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimise all e-commerce sales platforms, including the company's website, online portal, and any third-party marketplace accounts.
- Oversee all online order processing activities: customer registrations, payments, technical issues, and general queries.
- Ensure smooth fulfilment operations, coordinating with internal teams to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer journey.
- Implement and align online trading campaigns with wider sales and marketing strategies to maximise digital revenue.
- Monitor site performance and marketplace metrics, analysing trading behaviour and recommending improvements to drive sales and conversions.
- Maintain accurate CRM data while managing inbound leads from online channels—qualifying, tracking, and nurturing prospects.
- Conduct introductory and follow-up calls to move opportunities through the digital sales funnel.
- Collaborate with the global e-commerce team and internal stakeholders to share insights and best practice.
- Produce regular performance reports on online sales, conversion rates, traffic, leads and ROI.
- Ensure product listings, categories, descriptions, pricing and digital content remain accurate and up to date across all platforms.
- Keep up-to-date with e-commerce trends, tools and technologies to continually refine processes and improve user experience.
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Marketing, E-Commerce or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in e-commerce account management, online sales, marketplace management or digital trading.
- Strong CRM experience plus confidence working with analytics tools such as Google Analytics.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret trading data and identify actionable improvements.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing commercial priorities.
- Ideal for someone who blends technical confidence with strong commercial awareness.
