The Opportunity
Working alongside and reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll become the focal point for engineering planning, stores management, contractor coordination and CMMS development. The site is currently at the start of its maintenance planning journey, with a significant opportunity to introduce best practice, improve work scheduling, increase planned maintenance activity and develop a world-class engineering stores function. You'll be joining at an exciting time with ££multi- million of site investment planned and major upgrades scheduled across operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the engineering store's function
- Implement robust stock control and critical spare management
- Build and develop the site's maintenance planning processes
- Schedule preventative maintenance activities around production requirements
- Coordinate contractors, permits and engineering activities
- Reduce maintenance backlog and improve work order completion
- Support future CMMS implementation and system migration projects
- Manage engineering purchasing and spare parts control
- Create asset registers, maintenance schedules and equipment histories
- Coordinate weekly shutdown activities and larger maintenance outages
- Produce engineering KPIs and planning performance reports
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to improve reliability

You’ll ideally have experience within: Engineering Maintenance Planner & Stores, General Manufacturing or FMCG, Food or Processing, Agricultural Processing, Bulk Materials Handling, Industrial Processing, Heavy Engineering, FMCG Processing Plants, Automated Manufacturing. Experience using maintenance systems such as SAP, Shire, Piranha, Agility, Maximo or similar CMMS platforms would be advantageous.
