Job Description
Omega PLC is one of Britain’s fastest growing suppliers of premium quality kitchens to the house building market. Our Very British Collection includes Mackintosh, Sheraton and Novus brands to give developers the marketing advantage, range and flexibility they need.
We require a Designer to join our Contracts team based in Thorne, Doncaster, DN8 5TX.
This Role is crucial for the successful design, quotation, and estimation of new-build kitchen installations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include:
Kitchen Design & Specification:
• Create high-quality kitchen designs and photorealistic renders using ArtiCAD.
• Work methodically to detailed briefs and maintain accommodation schedules.
• Collaborate with the sales team for design accuracy and amend tenders as needed.
Estimating & Quotation Management:
• Prepare detailed quotations and tender packs.
• Analyse customer documentation for risks and compliance.
• Obtain supplier quotations and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Generate Variation Orders for project adjustments.
Project Coordination & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure smooth transition from tender to live project execution.
• Participate in peer-checking for accuracy and communicate with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Area Sales Managers and assist with margin analysis.
Administrative & Data Management:
• Maintain quotation databases and upload documents for design approval.
• Manage workload to achieve KPIs and implement price adjustments for customers.
APPLICANTS for the role must have at least one year kitchen design experience, preferably within a contracts environment. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, candidates will have a basic architectural knowledge and understanding of construction documents. They will also possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisation and time management skills. A working knowledge of Articad and SAP would be advantageous.
