1:1 Tutor in Brompton

Overview

Omega Tutoring is looking for 1:1 tutors to support children in care, children with special educational needs and excluded pupils in Gillingham and the surrounding Medway areas.

Responsibilities

• Work on a 1:1 basis with students aged between 5-16 years old.
• Deliver sessions focused on English and Maths.
• Provide 3 hours of work per day, 5 days per week, with flexible scheduling based on student needs.
• Offer additional hours by taking on more than one case, if desired.
• Conduct sessions either at the student’s home or the local library.
• Support students who are largely disengaged from education and may be below age-related expectations.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is preferred but not essential.
• Degree level qualification.
• Relevant experience working with students with SEN.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced child‑barred DBS certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Ability to engage, motivate, and make learning fun for students.
• Positive attitude focused on achieving the best for every student.
• Provide two professional, child‑related references.
