Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Shifts
- Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production
- Ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault-finding and maintenance of process and packaging equipment
- Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum
- You'll work with conveyor systems, materials handling, automated Packaging and material processing
- Leading mechanical repair and working with a CMMS
- Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes
- Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
- Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Shifts
- Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering
- Manufacturing Industry experience, heavy, medium or FMCG environments considered.
- Routine Preventive Maintenance, to have an understanding of a PPM schedule
- Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively
- Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous
- A proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development
