About the role
We’re looking for a motivated Revenue Recognition Project Accountant to join our Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. In this role, you’ll play a key part in helping us implement new revenue recognition requirements, working closely with Finance and other functions to ensure a smooth transition from manual processes to automated solutions.
This is a great opportunity to apply your technical expertise, collaborate across departments, and contribute to process improvements that will shape the future of our financial operations.
What you will bring to the role:
Run all the relevant reports in both SAP and Salesforce daily and identify areas where orders are not being updated in line with the new procedures
Maintain a daily error log for revenue postings and produce daily summarised cumulative reports for senior management
Follow up with the appropriate owner on each item of missing data to ensure it gets populated retrospectively in a timely manner
Create the appropriate accounting entries for approval
Work together with the relevant Finance Business Partners, IT Finance Business Partners and sales and operations experts to unblock issues
Review and update internal procedures and best practice guides, as well as hands-on business support
Identify and implement lean activities to streamline and simplify processes including being the main finance lead on the project to automate the revenue process
Provide support for Internal and External Audit
Ad hoc tasks as required
About you:
CIMA / ACCA (or similar) qualified (part qualified considered)
Relevant accounting experience
Attention to detail and accuracy is essential
Excellent numeracy skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisation and administrative abilities
Good Excel skills
PC literate and confident with integrated business systems. SAP experience would be advantageous
