The Senior Pricing Analyst is an individual contributor responsible for strengthening Malvern Panalytical’s pricing performance through advanced analysis, insight, and interpretation of pricing outcomes. The role is responsible for pricing analytics and BI toolset focusing on understanding price realization, margin performance, and market behavior, enabling better commercial decisions through evidence‐based insight.
What you’ll be doing:
- Drive pricing maturity by shifting from descriptive reporting to diagnostic, actionable insight that informs commercial decisions.
- Own visibility of pricing performance across products, customers, regions, and channels, identifying leakage, margin variance, and improvement opportunities.
- Lead price realization, mix, variance, and margin‐waterfall analysis to isolate drivers and strengthen pricing discipline.
- Maintain and enhance pricing KPIs, dashboards, datasets, and analytical models, ensuring trusted, explainable outputs.
- Partner with Finance, IT, Sales, and Product teams to improve data quality, segmentation, and analytical scalability.
- Translate complex analysis into clear commercial insight, supporting decisions through scenario modelling and objective evaluation of trade‐offs.
- Analyse deal‐level and field pricing behaviour, combining quantitative data with structured market and competitive intelligence.
- Support annual and ad‐hoc pricing cycles, model cost and competitive impacts, measure post‐implementation outcomes, and recommend refinements.
About you:
- 5–8+ years’ experience in pricing analytics, commercial finance, revenue management, or business analytics in a manufacturing or technical product setting (B2B environment).
- Strong understanding of price‐volume‐margin dynamics and commercial trade‐offs.
- Advanced deep data analysis and financial modelling skills ideally with SQL or other database environments.
- Broad experience designing and maintaining visual tools, dashboards and analytical models (eg. Power BI, Tableau, Sap Analytical Cloud etc.).
- Comfortable working with Enterprise pricing software and analytics packages (eg Zilliant, PROS, Vendavo, Pricefx) and ERP‐derived data (e.g. SAP / CPQ outputs).
- Able to influence senior stakeholders through insight, logic, and clarity rather than authority.
- Curious, structured, and confident operating in environments with evolving processes and imperfect data.
