Quality Engineer – Crowborough, East Sussex, UK – Full Time, Permanent, 38 Hours per Week, Site‑Based Role
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the development, implementation and sustainment of manufacturing and business processes across UKTC Operations, New Value Introduction (NVI) and Value Engineering (VE) activities.
- Drive manufacturing improvements through structured problem‑solving activities and coaching of manufacturing teams.
- Monitor, analyse and report quality‑related KPI data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and support the resolution of customer complaints and quality issues in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and improve manufacturing process controls.
- Lead process and product improvement projects.
- Support compliance with Servomex quality assurance standards and best practices.
- What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
- Experience implementing process controls and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ability to coach and mentor others in structured problem‑solving techniques.
- A practical, hands‑on approach with the drive to deliver sustainable improvements.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing.
- Experience within electronics and/or mechanical manufacturing environments.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience.
- Power BI, Power Apps or Power Automate.
- SAP and Minitab.
- Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent experience.
Qualifications
- HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline.
