About Us

Omega Environmental Services are seeking a highly skilled and driven H&S Manager to join our expanding team at our Hertfordshire office. This is a key role within a growing, dynamic business specialising in asbestos removal services. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self‑motivated, and confident, with a strong track record in construction health and safety and specialist expertise in asbestos compliance, licensing, and accreditation management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ideally the individual will possess NEBOSH & IOSH certificates.
• Must have considerable experience working within the asbestos industry.
• Competent in using the Microsoft Office and CRM Systems.
• Must have good client facing, people management, organisational and presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and renew company accreditations (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
• Lead asbestos licence renewal and compliance with HSE
• Maintain and improve the integrated SHEQ management system
• Oversee site and office audits, closing out non‑conformities
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses
• Monitor air testing, RPE checks, and exposure records
• Keep Training Matrix and competency records up to date
• Review and update company policies, RAMS, and procedures
• Act as main contact with clients, auditors, and regulators for H&S matters
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, environment, and quality culture
• Like for like tasks for our in‑house licensed scaffolding division
