Assignment Description
One of our clients is looking for a Project Lead Planner, preferably based in Aberdeen or elsewhere in the UK, to work on site in Aberdeen.
The Project Planner Lead reports to Project Control Manager and will be an integral part of PDE Project Team, working collaboratively within the PDE organization, systems, procedures, and methods
Overall responsible for the Rosebank Integrated Plan and system maintenance (P6) including specific client scopes
Start-up and interface to Subsea Contractor
Sea trials and Vessel Transit
Northern European Yard stay
Establish and migrate the plan from Contractors system to clients for the Post Yard Activities.
Follow up and review Contractor’s schedules and plans:
Continuously check logic and Critical Path
Review of Weekly / Monthly progress from Contractors
Challenging on delayed activities, low progress, logic
Establishing and maintaining a Schedule Risk Analysis basis to be used bi-monthly for internal project status and focus.
Responsible for the EPCI monthly report to Rosebank Project Stakeholders
Prepared in a timely manner (with assistance from Admin.) for review by the PMT
Review and work with Contractor for Run Down Curves
Daily hands on and follow up of the planning activities.
Assist and offer advice to Contractors with their schedule development and reporting.
Ensures the work is driven to schedule and is kept current and updated on a regular basis for submission to the Project Management Team (PMT).
Constantly review activities and suggest mitigations where necessary to maintain the project schedule.
Liaises with PMT on planning issues and provides information to assist in the compilation of the overall integrated schedule.
Support the Construction Contractor in establishing and maintaining overall project schedule with all interfacing Company, Client and Contractor’s activities. Follow up and report progress on same.
Coordinate with key members of the PMT to obtain progress information and prepare Progress reports.
Prepare look ahead schedules on a weekly and monthly basis.
Analyze and generate trends and forecast information.
Prepare specific reports on request.
Provide necessary schedule optimizations and "what if's" assistance to the Project Control Manager.
Other activities as required by the Project Control Manager, and/or Project Director.
Ensure good cooperation, communication and alignment between the base organization and the project.
Qualifications
Engineering degree or equivalent years' experience.
Minimum 15 years planning experience on major offshore projects with minimum 5 years in a senior planning position.
Systematic and analytic.
Strong interpersonal skills applied to a multi-disciplined project team.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and presentations.
Recent relevant experience in southeast Asian / Singaporean shipyards required.
Commercial acumen and project controls experience an advantage.
Flexibility.
Problem-solving skills.
Software: Microsoft Office products, PIMS, Primavera P6.
