One of our clients is looking for an Electrical Commissioning Support Lead, preferably based in Aberdeen or elsewhere in the UK, to work on site in Aberdeen.

The Electrical Commissioning Support Lead will act and report to the Commissioning Manager, will be an integral part of the PDE Project Team, working collaboratively within the PDE organization, systems, plans, procedures, and methods. The Electrical Commissioning Support Lead will be responsible for follow-up of all activities related to the electrification of the Rosebank FPSO, providing planning input, direction, guidance, and supervision of commissioning activities, and the interface between Electro and SAS Control system.

The Electrical Commissioning Support Lead is also responsible for monitoring the quality of discipline-related documentation on design solutions and all engineering activities within EPC towards Electro disciplines. The Electrical Commissioning Support Lead shall ensure that all necessary information to execute commissioning and start-up is made available from all Contractor side.

Key activities include:

  • Commissioning of low and high voltage electrical systems, including electrification related to the Rosebank Life Extension project through the onshore and offshore commissioning phase, including HV and LV distribution system, small power consumers and downstream subsystem.
  • Ensuring that the completion system (PIMS) has the necessary data available to execute system and sub-system definition, have P&ID ready for system boundary mark-up for all electro systems, and information available to develop commissioning procedures.
  • Reviewing all FAT- and SAT-procedures and vendor commissioning procedures.
  • Maintaining a close relationship with Engineering, Construction and MC to ensure alignment on plans and progress.
  • Coordinating the interface for electrification between subsea & topside, and also interface boundary drawings for electricity, SAS Control System, process data sheets, plans and close follow-up of field activities.

Accountabilities include:

  • Ensuring that relevant activities within the discipline are within the company framework and in conformance with contract, Yard Execution Plan, and relevant regulations.
  • Taking care of the health and safety of personnel, natural and working environment and equipment.
  • Acting in accordance with clients' core values and HSE program and being clients' representative for the Electrical Commissioning discipline performance to ensure that commissioning activities are according to plan and executed actively in cooperation with the project team.
  • Ensuring good cooperation, communication and alignment between the base organization and the project.
  • Working with PDE operations team as well as client to ensure clear guidance and clarifications are provided with regards to scope of work definition.
  • Executing commissioning activities in accordance with established procedures and plan, and in accordance with Clients and contractors’ requirements for Safe Execution of Work.
  • Participating in the process to establish a Commissioning network in the Project Completion System PIMS CMS and Prima Vera as basis for planning and management of Commissioning activities.
  • Reporting status and signing of commissioning activities done in PIMS CMS.
  • Preparing SWCRs and commissioning queries in PIMS.
  • Contributing to the Management of Change process and to project risk workshop.
  • Identifying and following up relevant risk and mitigating actions.
  • Coordinating and supporting Construction and Commissioning interfaces across all disciplines, including engineering and contractor.
  • Acting as a driving force for development and implementation of Commissioning activities for Rosebank FPSO project.
  • Preparing commissioning dossiers and procedures for Electro systems including the Electrification scope.
  • Participating in the handover process from DDWD to Commissioning and in later phase to Operations for all assigned Electro systems.
  • Participating in work pack review sessions as well as work packs preparation.
  • Participating in design reviews, HAZID’s, HAZOP’s and any other related safety studies.
  • Reporting to Commissioning Manager any delays in progress under his/her area of responsibility.
  • Participating in meetings, inspections and tri-party walks.
  • Collaborating closely with other key disciplines in the Engineering Team.
  • Calling off assistance from discipline resources.
  • Other duties as required by the Commissioning Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Technical education on Bachelor level or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience within operation, project execution and Commissioning.
  • Experience from previous Electrification projects is a major advantage.
  • Operating experience both from the Norwegian continental shelf and international projects will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience in FPSO redeployment is strongly desired.
  • Recent experience of working in a similar role on UK North Sea projects will be an advantage.
  • Leadership & interpersonal skills applied to a multidisciplined project team.
  • Organized, Systematic & Flexible.
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills.
