We're looking for an MEP Planner to join our Mechanical and Electrical team based in the Midlands.
Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire.
Hours: Full-time - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.
We're seeking a dedicated MEP Planner to join our collaborative team, supporting the delivery of mechanical and electrical programmes on a major defence project. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact, working on diverse projects whilst developing your career in a supportive and inclusive environment.
What will you be responsible for?
- Developing and maintaining project programmes using Elecosoft PowerProject and/or Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with Kier's planning standards and contract requirements.
- Monitoring progress through site visits and maintaining accurate records using Bluebeam and Elecosoft Site Progress apps.
- Identifying potential risks and delays, working collaboratively with project teams to develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Preparing clear and concise progress reports and updates for stakeholders, keeping everyone informed of project status.
- Reviewing supply chain programmes and facilitating coordination meetings to ensure seamless project delivery.
What are we looking for?
- You have intermediate or advanced proficiency in Elecosoft PowerProject, with the ability to create fully logic-linked programmes and produce accurate take-offs.
- You bring previous hands-on experience as an MEP planner, or as a Construction Planner. We would also consider transferrable skills from other construction-related disciplines.
- You're confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience in Bluebeam Revu.
- You have experience in tender and preconstruction planning.
- You're a positive, open-minded team player with the ability to work independently and a genuine enthusiasm for learning and development.
