MG OMD are searching for an account manager, a PPC superstar who empowers and inspires people around them, is not afraid to challenge the status quo, and has a passion for paid search. This person will find themselves working closely with the major search platforms to deliver best-in-class advertising campaigns and future-facing solutions.
- In the PPC Account Manager role you will be working as part of the Investment team @MG OMD, comprised of 100+ specialists who work across PPC, paid social and organic performance (SEO). Although the role primarily focuses on PPC, there are opportunities to develop skills across the wider Investment team. This role requires someone with enthusiasm, a creative mindset, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Account Managers will have some prior knowledge of running advertising campaigns across Google and Microsoft search. You should ideally be experienced in producing detailed media plans that make use of a variety of objectives and targeting types. You should also have knowledge of how to monitor search ad performance and make changes to improve results where required. Previous experience working in a marketing agency or in-house role is required.
- You will need to be organised and methodical with a calm demeanour. You will also need to be confident working with numbers as we regularly deal with large amounts of data. Proficient Microsoft Excel skills are essential as well as experience with producing and presenting PowerPoint presentations.
- As a client-facing team, we are looking for someone who is personable and friendly, with professional manners. You will be the primary day-to-day contact for the clients, responsible for delivering high quality work, market-leading performance and future-facing ideas for tomorrow. Supporting the wider activation team on day-to-day implementation, alongside driving client performance to meet targets and expectations.
- Analytical: Have an analytical mindset that is comfortable with numbers and lots of data.
- Implementation: Working with the Google, Microsoft and Search Ads 360 platforms to make day-to-day changes, analyse information and design test & learn roadmaps.
- Growth: Be eager to learn and to grow within the role, to develop your understanding of the Search market, alongside client understanding.
- Client Management: The role will include client communication, so the candidate will need to feel comfortable speaking to clients on a weekly basis.
- Team Player: Be a team player and develop talent within the marketing team to help them achieve their full potential.
- Platform Experience: Google, and Microsoft, SA360 is not essential but this or any other third-party bidding platforms would be a bonus. Candidates should be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Pro Active: Be pro-active and confident with views and ideas.
- Pitching: Experience pitching search ideas to clients and delivering presentations, whilst promoting an understanding of how search advertising feeds into the wider marketing mix. We expect you to be up to speed with the latest advertising technologies, targeting and creative options (and knowing how to make best use of them).
- Implementation: Be a part of the team that works within Platforms on the day-to-day implementation. This will include:
- Making changes within the bidding platforms.
- Analysing data and making recommendations and changes within the platforms.
- Setting up and launching campaigns.
- Ensuring QA processes are being followed and all work is of the highest quality.
- Performance is closely monitored and recommendations for improvements are always made, including ownership of test & learn roadmaps.
- Reporting: Management, support and delivery of reporting on a weekly and daily basis:
- Supporting with pulling, analysing and presenting reports on a weekly basis.
- Spot trends within the data and analyse to deliver learnings to clients.
- Be confident in presenting reports to clients.
- Be supportive for ad hoc and wider reporting requirements.
- Post campaign analysis of campaigns and briefs.
- Testing frameworks and roadmap creation.
- Day to Day: Working across a range of tasks on a day-to-day basis. This includes:
- End of month reconciliation of finance.
- Annual, quarterly and monthly forecasting.
- Post campaign analysis.
- Support development of direct reports.
- Monitoring campaign performance daily.
- Assist with planning tasks carried out by the Senior Executive, Executives and Director.
- Take part in training.
- Daily pacing.
- Liaising with clients and internal client teams.
- Being a team player.
