Job Description
The Senior Manager, Data Operations will lead the development and ongoing operation of one of our largest clients in Data & Tech.
This role requires extensive experience with analytics and technology tools, both syndicated and proprietary.
The ideal candidate will proactively communicate opportunities, build strong internal and external relationships, and drive the growth and development of the data operations practice.
- Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the development, maintenance and implementation of a comprehensive data management and integrity programme.
- Oversee the design, requirements gathering, development and delivery of reporting applications.
- Manage cross-functional teams to understand complex data issues, establish priorities and implement solutions.
- Define and develop business rules for data cleansing and QA processes.
- Facilitate communication and progression of tasks through regular status meetings and working sessions.
- Ensure industry data standards are utilised to drive data quality and compliance.
- Act as the subject matter expert for projects relating to data quality and business rules.
- Generate targeted solutions for data quality issues and operational inefficiencies.
- Supervise analysts and offshore teams performing data operations and quality assurance tasks.
- Foster positive relationships with Planning, Channel Leads and Data Transformation Technology teams.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Data Operations team.
- Mentor and develop team members while promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and implement innovative data solutions.
- Lead high-impact projects and initiatives, ensuring successful delivery.
- Partner closely with the Operations Director to support client management, media planning, team coordination and process improvement.
Experience & Skills Needed
- Experience in an advertising agency; Ad Operations, Analytics or Digital Investment experience preferred.
- Experience in data governance and data quality processes within Data Warehousing, ETL and Business Intelligence environments.
- Experience in Business Analysis.
- In-depth knowledge across multiple media channels including digital, search, social and offline.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Comfortable working with budgets, numbers and scoping exercises.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot data quality, governance and operational issues.
- Experience managing stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
