About The Role
After a successful year growing our current client scopes for 2026, we are now looking to expand our Organic Performance Department with the hiring of an Organic Performance Associate Director. As a full-service media agency, search sits at OMD UK’s heart within the Connected Performance Department (our combined wider digital and planning department) a team that consists of over 160 experts, so this is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to work across a varied client mix and get involved across multiple channel touchpoints working with counterparts across the agency.
Reporting directly to OMD’s Organic Performance Business Director, you will be an inquisitive and proactive SEO practitioner as well as expanding your remit into GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation – GenAI/LLMs). You will be the main day‑to‑day point along with the Account Manager and responsible for delivering SEO/GEO strategies for your clients whilst being their trusted partner. Working with your Business Director, you will also support in devising client strategies and approaches whilst looking for new opportunities to drive performance and efficiencies. You will be primarily working with one of the biggest banks in the UK, across a number of business units. The role is perfect for a self‑starter SEO all‑rounder who has hands‑on experience and is now ready to take the next step into a more senior role.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating enterprise-level strategic approaches for some of our biggest clients to deliver against their objectives
- Creating and briefing a pipeline of SEO, GEO/LLM (through to UX) tasks to develop an account with fresh ideas and thinking
- Reviewing and interrogating client briefs to ensure the optimal owned media strategy response is devised with an appropriate flighting schedule
- Leading client meetings and calls as the SEO lead on the account, providing strategic oversight
- Keeping up to date with search news & sharing opinions on industry developments within the team and with clients, providing your viewpoint on changes
- Resourcing the Organic Performance Account Manager and any other delegates under your remit in your team to ensure they are matched to the accounts where they will be able to make the biggest impact, keeping a close eye on the overall strategy
- Personal development of Organic Performance Account Manager including 121s and the creation of personal development plans
- Mentoring the Organic Performance Account Manager to ensure that they develop a wealth of experience within SEO, management and search and all soft skill areas
- Providing top-level insights to clients on current performance and areas to grow in the future
- Leading on the creation of new processes, templates, and deliverables as well as best practice
- Consistently performing at an advanced level of SEO competency
- Lead the up‑selling and cross‑selling of existing clients with additional services and solutions
- Supporting the Organic Performance Business Director and Head of Department with new business pitches
- Leading training sessions and department meetings
- Work with a PPC counterpart either internally or at a third‑party agency to drive integrated search for clients
- Ensuring Organic Performance activity integrates with the client's wider digital and offline media activity both across OMD but also with other agencies and partners our clients work with
