OMD's Decisions Science team play a vital role in ensuring that clients realise the full potential of their marketing investment for maximum growth. The Senior Consultant role is a senior member of the team and will suit a candidate who is passionate about data and analytics, focused on addressing business questions and wants to lead media and business decision making driving growth for clients. The successful candidate will have a proven record of combining a creative approach to analytic problem solving with smart technical know-how and polished project management/people skills. Senior Consultants are the client-facing leads for effectiveness, who get to the heart of the questions clients need answering. You will grow the depth of those client relationships and have a clear understanding of the commercial goals of the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships across agency contacts and clients, acting as an expert in your field.
- Manage for client engagement, ranging from project delivery to consultancy and solutions upsell.
- Lead on projects and in meetings, articulating insights clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Help identify new opportunities within clients’, working with senior team members to develop these, together with fee proposals for new work.
- Create cohesive, motivated and effective teams, setting clear direction and expectations to ensure smooth delivery and high-quality standards.
- Contribute to driving marketing effectiveness – taking a lead in the Advanced Analytics community, sharing and collaborating with other analysts.
- Lead on day-to-day management and training of the team, overseeing the professional and technical development of more junior team members.
- Help develop new solutions and analytical approaches, as well as contributing and support in new business pitches as required.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies and evolving media landscapes to keep the agency ahead of the curve.
Skills Needed
- A degree in economics, econometrics, statistics or similar quantitative discipline - or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience with regression modelling techniques, media measurement (A/B Testing) and causal inference methodologies.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Proven track record of leading measurement projects end-to-end, including client communication and team management.
- Ability to translate technical outputs into commercially-actionable recommendations and deliver them to non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of a scripting language (e.g. R or Python, R preferred) and MS Excel.
