About The Job: We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing UK Accounting and Finance team in London. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and efficiency of our financial operations as Omaze continues to scale. You’ll own core accounting processes, support month-end close activities, partner with teams across the business and help improve the systems and controls that keep everything running smoothly. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Key contributor to the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting
- Day to day core UK accounting for the UK business
- Support internal and external financial reporting requirements
- Overseeing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls
- Supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Partnering with FP&A and wider business teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows and enhance reporting accuracy, including through the use of AI
- Supporting the development and optimisation of finance systems and tools
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management activities
- Helping to build scalable finance processes as the business continues to grow
About You:
- ACA/ACCA/CPA qualified
- Several years of accounting experience, ideally within a fast-growing startup, ecommerce, media or technology business
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and financial controls
- Experience working on month-end close processes and preparing management accounts
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting systems, preferably NetSuite experience or similar platforms
- A proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
