The role is located in our London office, the tech hub of the Shazam team.

Description

Lead the QA effort for the Shazam i OS & Android apps on a 12‑month contract.

You’ll set strategy and direct a team split across automation (~75%) and manual/regression testing (~25%), driving a major push to mature automation and migrate existing manual cases into automated coverage.

You will guide the team that builds the automation, help with test planning & test case maintenance, and help guide the technical direction.

Responsibilities

  • Setting test strategy and test planning for new features across automation and manual testing.
  • Directing the team to develop and maintain test suites on i OS and Android.
  • Planning and overseeing the migration of manual/regression cases into automation.
  • Owning quality standards, release readiness, and reporting.
  • Interfacing with business analytics and software development teams to identify usage irregularities.
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Senior QA experience leading and coordinating teams, ideally in contract settings with minimal ramp‑up.
  • Strong mobile testing background across i OS and Android.
  • Solid working knowledge of automation frameworks (eg. Appium, XCUITest, Espresso), enough to set strategy and guide the team (hands‑on coding not required).
  • A track record of planning manual‑to‑automation migrations.
  • Strong communication skills and analytical thinking.
