About The Job: We’re looking for a Director of Marketing Data Science & Analytics to build and lead a brand-new capability within our growing Data & Analytics team. This is a unique opportunity to shape how one of the UK’s fastest-growing consumer brands measures marketing performance. You’ll build a high-performing team spanning Marketing Analytics, Marketing Data Science and Marketing Engineering, creating the measurement capabilities, technology foundations and analytical standards that help us make smarter investment decisions and accelerate growth.
Working closely with the VP, Head of Data & Analytics, you’ll partner with senior leaders across Marketing, Growth, Finance and Engineering to establish a best-in-class marketing measurement function. From Marketing Mix Modelling and experimentation to attribution, mobile measurement and marketing technology, you’ll ensure the business has one trusted view of marketing performance and the confidence to make data-led decisions. You’ll be equally comfortable setting long-term strategy and rolling up your sleeves to solve complex problems, helping establish a culture where evidence, experimentation and commercial impact sit at the heart of every marketing decision.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Build, hire and lead a high-performing team across Marketing Analytics, Marketing Data Science and Marketing Engineering, creating the culture, standards and operating model for a new function.
- Own end-to-end marketing measurement, bringing together Marketing Mix Modelling, attribution, mobile measurement and platform reporting into a single source of truth.
- Lead and evolve Omaze’s Marketing Mix Modelling programme, ensuring outputs directly influence investment and budget allocation decisions.
- Establish experimentation as standard practice through incrementality testing, geo experiments, holdouts, conversion lift studies, ghost ads and switchback designs.
- Own our mobile measurement strategy, including MMP configuration and reconciliation of SKAdNetwork, AdAttributionKit and post-IDFA measurement.
- Lead the evolution of our marketing technology ecosystem, including customer data platforms, attribution tools, CRM platforms, identity solutions, server-side tagging, conversion APIs and audience activation.
- Define and govern the commercial metrics that matter, including CAC, LTV/CAC, payback, contribution margin and net contribution, partnering closely with Finance to ensure consistent business reporting.
- Drive the transition from descriptive reporting to predictive and prescriptive analytics, including lifetime value modelling, acquisition forecasting and media optimisation.
- Shape build-versus-buy decisions across the marketing technology landscape and manage strategic vendor relationships, contracts and budgets.
- Lead our first-party data and privacy-era measurement strategy across the UK and Germany, ensuring compliance with GDPR and local privacy requirements.
- Act as the trusted analytics partner to senior leaders, translating complex analysis into clear recommendations and board-ready insights.
- Raise the bar for experimentation, analytical rigour and storytelling across the organisation while championing data quality, instrumentation and measurement best practice.
- Represent Marketing Data Science & Analytics within the wider Data & Analytics function, ensuring alignment with engineering, analytics and data science standards.
About You: You’ll be an experienced data and analytics leader who combines deep technical expertise with outstanding commercial judgement and people leadership. You’re passionate about building teams, solving complex measurement challenges and helping businesses make better decisions through data.
You’ll bring:
- Significant leadership experience at Director level, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing analytics, data science or marketing measurement teams.
- Deep expertise across Marketing Mix Modelling, attribution, experimentation and incrementally testing.
- Strong knowledge of mobile measurement, privacy-first attribution and the evolving post-IDFA ecosystem, including SKAdNetwork and AdAttributionKit.
- Extensive experience designing and leading modern marketing technology ecosystems, including CDPs, server-side tagging, conversion APIs and identity solutions.
- A proven ability to partner with Finance to define and govern commercial marketing metrics such as CAC, LTV/CAC, payback and contribution.
- Outstanding communication skills, with experience influencing senior executives and presenting complex analysis to board-level stakeholders.
- Expert SQL skills alongside strong Python or R for statistical analysis and modelling.
- Hands-on experience applying advanced customer segmentation techniques, predictive modelling and causal inference methods.
- Experience working within high-growth consumer, subscription or direct-response businesses with significant paid media investment.
- A track record of building marketing measurement or MarTech capabilities from the ground up.
- Experience with modern Marketing Mix Modelling approaches and causal inference techniques, including difference-in-differences, synthetic control and instrumental variables.
- Experience operating across multiple European markets, ideally including the UK and Germany, with an understanding of regional privacy requirements.
- Strong knowledge of the modern data stack and enough technical depth to partner effectively with Data Engineering and set engineering standards.
What’s In It For You:
- Generous stock options scheme
- Private medical and dental insurance
