We are currently seeking a Purchasing Manager to join the Regal Leisure Homes team based in Ringwood, Dorset.
Main Purpose of Job: Manage the Purchasing Dept team of one. Oversee the processing and tracking of all purchase orders, and be responsible for the actual processing and tracking of key supplier orders. Work with staff across departments to forecast the needs of the business and make purchase decisions based on forecast build. Compile Bills of Materials for all models and compile work orders from those standard bills of materials.
Key Tasks:
- Manage the Purchasing team.
- Process purchase orders and forward to suppliers as necessary ensuring delivery time frames are in line with production requirements.
- Track orders to ensure goods are delivered on time.
- Re-align WO dates in line with schedule changes.
- Maintain stock codes and associated static data within SAGE.
- Create forecasts based upon the build program.
- Compile Bill of Materials for all standard models and update monthly.
- Compile works orders from standard Bill of Materials within SAGE to enable purchase decisions to be made.
- Maintain bill of material for part replacements, additions etc.
- Investigate SAGE WO and stock discrepancies and resolve them.
- Maintain and update company SAGE system with regards to purchasing promise dates and static data.
- Work closely with suppliers and maintain open communication.
- Coordinate and make the necessary arrangements for processing discrepant supplied items and materials.
- Help to research and select quality products and materials.
- Comply with all safety initiatives to assure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Work closely with the Stores Manager to ensure stock integrity.
- Update Managing Director on status of orders.
- Provide department KPIs for management as required.
- Ad hoc management support through provision of information and reports, as necessary.
