OMAC Martial Arts is growing across the GTA and is looking for dedicated Taekwondo Instructors and Masters interested in joining our community. Our studios are looking for new and experienced staff who can guide students while encouraging personal discipline and self-respect. In addition to providing instruction regarding technique, you must display patience and positivity with students of all levels. All applicants must have an advanced belt in a traditional style.
Early in the summer of 2025 we will be opening a new location in Durham Region and we're looking for a 3rd Dan Black Belt (or higher) to assume the role of Headmaster. Anticipated start date will be fall of 2024 as this role will take the lead in building brand awareness in the community and executing our World Class Kids program in local elementary schools.
As a Headmaster you will be responsible for:
- Learning the OAMC curriculum by participation in the OMAC Academy.
- Leverage OMAC resources to develop marketing initiatives that will drive membership sales.
- Participate in community events to drive awareness of the new location and trial classes.
- Collaborate with ownership on the final opening milestones of the school.
- Recruit and onboard school staff to include additional Martial Art talent, an administrator and drivers supporting the afterschool program.
- Lead classes as part of the afterschool and evening class memberships.
- Execute ancillary revenue programs such as demonstration teams, competition teams, color belt testing and birthday parties.
- Maintain brand standards as outlined in OMAC manuals.
- Other duties as required.
For the right candidate committed to running this school like they own it, an opportunity may be available to earn profit sharing in the business by hitting specific membership and revenue milestones within the first 12 months of operation.
Job Types: Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 per year
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate: Durham Region, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
