Reporting directly to the UK Finance Director and acting as a key business partner to the UK Managing Director, you will shape financial insight, drive performance, and lead a small team of talented analysts (2–3 direct reports). The Role- Lead the commercial finance agenda for the UK business, providing robust financial insight, challenge, and strategic support.
- Partner closely with the UK Managing Director and senior leadership team to influence decision‑making and drive profitable growth.
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning processes for key business units.
- Deliver high‑quality analysis on pricing, margin performance, customer profitability, and commercial opportunities.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2–3 direct reports, fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Support the UK Finance Director with board‑level reporting, investment cases, and strategic initiatives.
- Champion continuous improvement across reporting, systems, and commercial processes.
- A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong post‑qualification experience in a commercial finance role.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, ideally within a PLC or complex, multi‑site environment.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of influencing decisions and driving performance.
- Confident, with previous experience in leading and developing a small team.
