We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join the Leicestershire based finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact across financial planning, analysis, and system transformation as the business migrates from SAGE to SAP.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the financial planning cycle, including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term modelling.
- Deliver accurate forecasting and analysis at the end of each quarter.
- Support the development of a 5-year business plan through robust financial modelling.
- Prepare and analyse reports across P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Consolidating financial information for reporting and forecasting.
- Monitor and evaluate KPIs, highlighting trends and recommending improvements.
- Provide financial guidance to business units, supporting decision-making and risk management.
- Manage project accounting, including monthly reporting, margin analysis, and labour recovery calculations.
- Play a key role in the ERP migration project, cleansing data in SAGE and supporting the transition to SAP.
- Undertake ad-hoc administrative and financial tasks as required.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- 2–3 years' experience in financial accounting, planning, and analysis within industry.
- Strong track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across departments.
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP essential).
- Exposure to SAGE and/or SAP systems are highly desirable.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player.
