About the Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will play a pivotal role in strengthening financial governance, improving reporting quality, and supporting strategic decision‑making. This is a broad, high‑impact position suited to someone who enjoys both the technical depth of finance and the interpersonal influence required in a senior leadership setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and year‑end financial statements
- Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors
- Oversee VAT, HMRC submissions, and compliance requirements
- Maintain and improve financial controls, processes, and reporting standards
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Oversee payroll and ensure accuracy and compliance
- Provide financial insight to senior leaders and challenge assumptions where necessary
