About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial information that supports strategic decision‑making across the business.
Working closely with Finance, Operations, and Senior Leadership, you’ll ensure robust reporting, compliance, and analysis within a dynamic manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with UK GAAP/IFRS.
- Lead month‑end close activities, including journals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Produce detailed management reports with commentary for senior stakeholders.
- Support budgeting and forecasting cycles, providing insight into performance trends
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across the finance function
- Partner with operational teams to understand cost drivers, inventory movements, and production variances.
- Assist with statutory audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Fully qualified or finalist (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Strong financial reporting experience, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or a product‑based environment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data.
- Confident working with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
