We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and committed teacher of Religious Education to join our team at Winterbourne on a fixed term contract, starting 1st September 2026.

Religious Education is a thriving subject at Winterbourne and is part of the humanities faculty which is a large team of enthusiastic and supportive teachers who are committed to continuously improving practice. RE is taught up to A level and geography, history, philosophy and PSHE also sit within the faculty.

RE at Winterbourne aims to be inspiring and challenging for all students. Teachers are passionate about their subject and care about their students. The successful candidate will be required to deliver high quality lessons, motivate, challenge and inspire our students. They will be committed to closing gaps and raising attainment across all abilities, whatever the starting point. They should have a strong sense of teamwork and a desire to improve their own and the faculty’s practice.

There is also a strong network of RE teachers across the Olympus Academy Trust who meet regularly to develop curriculum and share resources. As a school, we are focused on developing and supporting students from across the ability range, with a large able cohort and a commitment to disadvantaged students and those with special educational needs.
