Filton Hill Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team. This role is offered on a fixed term basis until 31st August 2026 working 26 hours per week as follows, Monday to Thursday 8:30am – 14:10pm and Friday 8:20am - 14:10pm (including 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak). The successful candidate will work term time only plus inset days, totalling 39 weeks per year.

This role will have split responsibility with half of the time dedicated to 1:1 support with a non-verbal learner in the Early Years provision and half of the time leading phonics interventions with Year 1. This role involves working alongside class teachers to support and improve the academic progress of our learners with special educational needs or disabilities. We are looking for a kind, dedicated and considerate TA who will have the energy and enthusiasm to support and nurture some of our most vulnerable learners.

All candidates must have a good standard of general education, to include Maths and English at GCSE level 4 or above or equivalent qualification and NVQ3 for Teaching Assistants or other relevant experience and qualification.
