A commercially focused and analytical role responsible for driving retail space performance across a multi-site store estate. The Retail Space Performance Lead will use sales density, customer behaviour, and trading data to optimise store layouts and category space allocation, ensuring every metre delivers maximum value. Working closely with Buying, Merchandising, and Operations teams, this role will support strategic decision-making through data-led insights, performance analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain space planning principles across stores.
  • Manage category space allocation to improve sales productivity and customer experience.
  • Analyse sales density, margin, stock turn, and trading performance data to identify opportunities.
  • Produce reporting and dashboards to track space performance and ROI.
  • Recommend and implement layout improvements based on customer and commercial insights.
  • Support range reviews and trading initiatives with clear, evidence-based recommendations.
  • Design and evaluate in-store trials, measuring results against key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with store and central teams to ensure successful execution of space plans.

About You
