We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Catering Manager to lead the catering service within a busy primary school. This is a hands-on role, where you will not only manage the kitchen and team but also actively participate in the preparation and cooking of fresh, nutritious meals each day. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality food that supports pupils’ health and wellbeing while ensuring smooth kitchen operations and compliance with all food safety standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and organise day-to-day kitchen operations
- Take a hands-on approach to cooking, food preparation, and service
- Plan and prepare fresh, nutritious meals in line with school food standards
- Supervise, motivate, and support catering staff
- Ensure food hygiene, allergen management, and health & safety compliance
