As a Qualified Cell Technician, you will play a vital role in restoring highly specialised medical endoscopes that clinicians rely on to diagnose and treat patients around the world. This is a hands‑on, precision‑focused role where quality, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement matter. You will work as part of a skilled technical team, using advanced tools, repair methods, and lean practices to ensure every device is repaired to the highest standard. Your work will directly support hospitals, healthcare professionals, and ultimately patients.
Responsibilities
- Complete repairs in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures.
- Adhere to health and safety requirements as determined by risk assessments.
- Escalate incidents, near misses and identified hazards.
- Responsible for the quality of the product for the designated stage of the repair, meeting the minimum target requirements, including inspection checks throughout the repair process.
- Adopt a continuous improvement mindset, working to relevant Lean and 6S expectations.
- Achieve customer satisfaction by working to the required productivity and quality requirements.
- Use calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process.
- Use service management and administration systems to record all relevant information for the repair, including process times.
You have previous experience in a technical role or fine hand skills gained through other means. Knowledge of how to carry out mechanical/electrical tasks and/or soldering is highly advantageous but not essential. Ability to read and understand detailed technical instructions. Flexible approach where required. You are self‑motivated, with high attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in an organised manner. Good PC competency, including the use of email and data entry.
