Core responsibilities include:
- Assembling mechanical products using a variety of hand and power tools, some of which are calibrated.
- Testing, packing, and occasional computer workstation tasks.
- Assemble, test, and pack mechanical products in accordance with the Device History Record (DHR) and assembly method.
- Ensure all components and tools used are fit for purpose and comply with any procedures.
- Establish and maintain good housekeeping.
- Record assembly times accurately using the shop floor data capture system.
- Assist the picking team in transferring jigs and picking dollies to reduce downtime.
- Assist the Team Leader in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
- Support the Team Leader in achieving KPI targets.
- Cover for other functions if trained to do so.
- Accurately use the ERP system to record relevant information and assembly time data.
- Implement and adhere to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated in the KeyMed Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
- Implement and adhere to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements as stipulated in the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
Requirements:
- Being on your feet for long periods of time (essential).
- Experience in a role requiring a high attention to detail (essential).
- Computer hardware and using computer applications and systems (essential).
- Ability to work independently.
- Power tools and calibrated equipment (desirable).
- Manufacturing environment/factory work (desirable).
- Medical Manufacturing & Assembly (desirable).
