Reports to the Team Leader. Assemble mechanical products using a variety of hand and power tools, some calibrated, from materials such as plastics, metal (raw & painted), and electrical. Some testing and packing of product will be required. The job requires a significant amount of time on foot and some, but less, time at a computer workstation. Flexibility to assemble multiple products in multiple work‑centres is required.

- Compliance with Health & Safety & Environmental procedures.
- Accurate assembly of components according to a method sheet.
- Achievement of the standard time for the shop order assembly operation.
- Maintenance of fixtures and tooling.
- Accurate completion of the shop order paperwork regarding the assembly operation.
- Implement and work to all applicable regulatory and quality requirements as stipulated within the KeyMed Quality Manual, Quality Policy, and Quality Objectives.
- Implement and work to all applicable Health, Safety and Environmental requirements as stipulated within the HSE Manual, HSE Policies, and HSE Objectives.
- Assemble, test and pack product in accordance with the Device History Record (DHR) and assembly method.
- Ensure all components and tools used are fit for purpose and comply with any procedures.
- Establish and maintain good housekeeping using 6S techniques.
- Record assembly times accurately using the shop floor data capture system.
- Assist the picking team in the transfer of jigs and picking dollies to reduce downtime.
- Assist the Team Leader in the day‑to‑day running of the department.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement activities.
- Support the Team Leader in the achievement of KPI targets.
- Cover for other functions if trained to do so.
- Accurately use the ERP system to record relevant information and assembly time data.
