Your Responsibilities
In the role of Qualified Surgical Cell Technician you will be responsible for the repair of Olympus Surgical endoscopes following approved repair processes and procedures on a stage of an assembly line style process. Product disassembly, refurbishment, repair, assembly, and testing processes depending on stage requirements in accordance to the Technical Services Global Guidelines and the relevant regulatory standards. Repair in line with method sheets and/or repair manuals, including other relevant processes and procedures. Adheres to health and safety requirements as determined by the risk assessment. Escalates Incidents, Near Misses and Identified Hazards. Responsible for the quality of the product for the designated stage of the repair, meeting the minimum target requirements, including inspection checks throughout the repair process. Achieving customer satisfaction by working to the required productivity and quality requirement and in line with divisional goals. Use of specialist calibrated tooling and test equipment defined for the repair process. Adopts a continuous improvement mindset and works to relevant Lean and 6S expectations. Using service management and administration systems to record all relevant information for the repairs including the process times. Following Shop Floor Management in your area by using the FIFO (First In, First Out) principle for repairs and support effective WIP (work in progress) management within the process.
Technician Levels
- Qualified Cell Repair Technician – Licenced technician that has received technical training on either non varied stages and/or 1 complex varied stage whilst meeting quality and productivity goals.
- Advanced Cell Repair Technician – Experienced licenced technician that has demonstrated high level of competence at previous level, performing at required productivity and quality goals. Trained on at least 2 non varied stages and 1 complex varied stage or 2 complex varied stages. Flexibly supports stages trained in regularly, to support the WIP management of the line.
Your qualification
Previous experience in a technical role or fine hand skills gained through other means which support the application. Knowledge of how to carry out tasks such mechanical/electrical and soldering is advantageous.
