Second in Creative

Patchway Community School is seeking an inspirational Second in Creative Faculty to support the leadership and development of our thriving Creative Faculty. Our Creative Faculty encompasses Drama, Music, Art, Photography and Design Technology (including Food Technology and Hospitality and Catering) and plays a central role in delivering a rich and engaging curriculum that nurtures creativity, innovation and self-expression across the school.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher to work closely with the Faculty Leader in driving excellence in teaching and learning, curriculum development and student outcomes. Applications are welcomed from candidates with expertise in any creative subject area; however, specialisms in Drama or Hospitality and Catering/Food Technology are particularly desirable.

The Role

The successful candidate will:

• Support the Faculty Leader in the strategic development of the Creative Faculty.
• Lead and inspire colleagues to deliver outstanding teaching and learning.
• Contribute to curriculum innovation across Drama, Music, Art and DT.
• Monitor and support student progress and attainment.
• Champion creativity and enrichment opportunities both within and beyond the curriculum.
• Deputise for the Faculty Leader when required.

• Is an excellent classroom practitioner with high expectations of all students.
• Has a passion for creative education and a commitment to raising achievement.
• Possesses strong leadership potential and the ability to motivate others.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Can contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
• Has a specialism in Drama or Food Technology/Hospitality & Catering (preferred, but not essential).
