Are you an Internal Sales professional with a background in plumbing and heating, merchant distribution or a similar trade environment?
This is an opportunity to join a long-established specialist distributor supplying plumbing and heating products to trade customers throughout the UK. The business has built its reputation on technical expertise, outstanding customer service and long-term relationships.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, thrives in a busy office environment and wants to become a valued member of a close-knit team where experience is recognised and rewarded.
This is a genuine long-term opportunity with no weekend working, a stable customer base and the chance to play an important role within a successful independent business.
The Role
Working as part of the internal sales team, you’ll become a key point of contact for customers, providing quotations, processing orders and delivering an exceptional level of service.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing incoming sales enquiries via telephone and email
  • Building strong relationships with both existing and new trade customers
  • Preparing quotations and following opportunities through to order
  • Advising customers on plumbing, heating and associated products
  • Processing orders accurately and efficiently
  • Liaising with suppliers to source products and manage availability
  • Supporting purchasing activities where required
  • Working closely with colleagues to ensure excellent customer service throughout

About You
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with customers and already understands the plumbing and heating sector.
You’ll ideally have:
  • Previous internal sales experience within plumbing and heating, merchant or specialist distribution
  • Good product knowledge of plumbing, heating or associated products
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive approach and willingness to support the wider team
  • Purchasing or buying experience would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career within a successful, growing business.

What’s on Offer?

  • £34,000 - £38,000 basic salary
  • Annual profit share bonus
  • 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays
  • Monday to Friday working (8:00am - 5:00pm)
