Launch Your Career with a Leading Technical Distribution Business
Are you an ambitious graduate looking to build a successful long-term career in technical B2B sales? Would you like to join a successful specialist distributor that will invest in your development, provide structured training, give you genuine responsibility from day one, and offer a clear pathway into professional sales, business development and future leadership opportunities?
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected technical distributor supplying market-leading HVAC controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), industrial automation and electrical control solutions. You'll be working with products that help keep commercial buildings, manufacturing facilities and industrial sites operating every day while developing the skills to build a rewarding long-term career.
The company has an excellent reputation for developing talented people, with many of its successful sales professionals and managers having started their careers in trainee positions.
About the Business
Our client is a long-established technical distributor working with many of the world's leading manufacturers of HVAC controls, Building Management Systems (BMS), industrial automation and electrical control technologies. They supply and support customers across the commercial and industrial sectors, including mechanical and electrical contractors, building controls specialists, OEMs, systems integrators, facilities management companies, industrial manufacturers, panel builders and engineering businesses. Combining technical expertise with outstanding customer service, they help customers deliver projects ranging from individual control components through to complete building management and industrial automation solutions. This is a business that genuinely invests in its people, offering structured training, ongoing mentoring and clear opportunities for long-term career progression.
The Role
This is a structured development programme designed to give you a thorough understanding of the business, its products and its customers before progressing into a customer-facing Technical Sales role. You'll develop a broad understanding of how each department contributes to the success of the business while building your commercial, technical and product knowledge. Supported by experienced colleagues, you'll gradually take on greater responsibility as your confidence and expertise grow.
Your training programme will include exposure to:
- Customer Service
- Warehouse & Logistics
- Purchasing & Stock Control
- Product & Technical Training
- Internal Sales
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Business Development
- Sales Administration & Commercial Processes
As your knowledge develops, you'll begin preparing quotations, supporting customers with technical enquiries, managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Over time, you'll progress into a fully-fledged Technical Sales professional, managing your own customer portfolio and helping to grow the business.
About You
We're looking for someone with ambition, curiosity and a genuine desire to build a long-term career in technical B2B sales. You'll ideally have:

- A genuine interest in learning about technical products, industries and customers.
- Strong organisational skills and a willingness to learn.
