Olleco is a pioneering business committed to sustainability. Collaborating with thousands of foodservice businesses, we actively reduce greenhouse gas emissions by transforming used cooking oil and organic waste into usable energy sources. With over 1,000 dedicated colleagues across multiple sites nationwide, we deliver excellence in performance. We’re building something new in Swanley, a brand new packing facility.
As our Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in setting up and running a safe, efficient warehouse and despatch operation from the ground up, supporting high throughput pallet movements and daily outbound deliveries.
The Job
- Foster a safety‑first mindset and drive continuous improvement aligned with Olleco’s "journey to zero" culture.
- Lead and supervise day‑to‑day warehouse and despatch activity: receiving, put‑away, stock control, picking, staging and loading.
- Coordinate safe and efficient loading of outbound vehicles (including curtain siders), ensuring the right product, right pallet, right paperwork, right time.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and site standards (clean‑as‑you‑go, clear aisles/exits, spill response), keeping the warehouse safe, tidy and audit‑ready.
- Own routine racking checks/inspections and ensure actions are raised and closed out promptly.
- Ensure safe operation and daily checks of MHE (FLT/pallet trucks) and elevate defects immediately.
- Support stock accuracy through disciplined location control, investigation of variances, and clean data/records.
- Train, coach and organise warehouse operatives using structured onboarding and safety training approaches.
- Work closely with production/packing colleagues to keep flow moving and prevent bottlenecks in a high‑volume pallet environment.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience supervising a warehouse team in a fast‑paced environment (FMCG/food/manufacturing/packing desirable).
- Strong working knowledge of warehouse H&S, housekeeping standards, and safe manual handling practices.
- Confidence managing despatch, paperwork, and stock movement accuracy (right‑first‑time mindset).
- Ability to plan and prioritise across busy loading windows and shifting operational demands.
- Comfortable working in a site designed around high throughput and extended operating hours.
- We will need you to have a FLT licence(s) and experience with racking, standards/inspections. For the right candidate we will support this training.
- Desirable: Food safety / HACCP awareness and experience working to recognised quality standards in edible oils/food environments.
What do we offer?
- Salary Sacrifice Pension.
- Life assurance – covered for death in service life cover of up to two times annual pay.
- Family leave – enhanced maternity and paternity pay.
- Health and Wellbeing support, including our 24/7 confidential Employee Assistance Programme for you and your family.
