The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 £ per year.

Due to ongoing business expansion across the EU, we are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join our growing business on a permanent basis.

Working within our finance team, in this role you will be responsible for assisting with the management of the sales and purchase ledgers and ensuring the timely completion of all daily work routines for our Dutch depots.

Duties of an Accounts Assistant:

  1. Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations
  2. Manage the Sales and Purchase ledger; cashbook transactions and query resolution
  3. Prepare weekly payment runs
  4. Prepare aged debtor reports and manage credit control
  5. Monitor and record the bulk movement of stock
  6. Provide business support ensuring deadlines and timescales are met
  7. Ensure all finance processes comply with fiscal, legal and group control and compliance frameworks

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience within a similar role (desirable)
  • Work experience within FMCG/Waste Management businesses (desirable)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and intermediate Excel skills
  • Methodical approach
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to work across different finance functions
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with non-finance departments
