Job summary: You will be assisting or leading a superb, proactive service to our clients and deliver work of the highest quality. Working closely with colleagues and other disciplines to deliver strategically sound projects on-time, on budget and in line with our standards and systems. Working closely with Account Director and through mentoring more junior colleagues, you will help in the running of the day-to-day activity across accounts and assisting with campaign delivery overall, and taking responsibility for certain, agreed projects.
Job responsibilities:
- Client Management / Relationships: Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients. Be a lead client point of contact on designated accounts. Lead client kick-offs, ensuring expectations are understood and set at the outset. Set up client calls/meetings, developing agendas and making sure the client has clear expectations ahead of the meeting. Oversee the tracking of all actions associated with weekly status reporting (working with the Project Manager). Make sure all agreements are accurately documented and circulated to the client, working with the Business Coordinator where needed. Building and maintaining a solid understanding of client businesses needs. Building confidence in discussing work and agency approach/outputs with clients.
- Business Acumen: Understand brand strategy, and how agency projects link together to deliver the strategy. Understand/keep up to date with industry trends. Keep up to date with/track changes to client’s business or the wider landscape, disseminate this to other team members. Able to apply learnings/experience from other clients/projects to new situations. Familiar with the 6cs and proprietary tools. Able to apply knowledge of brand across all agency deliverables (ensuring on brand, on strategy, on brief). Exposure of working with other agencies across the network, starting to understand what they offer.
- Financials: Ensure SoWs are in line with client expectations whilst working closely with the Project Manager. Work with the Project Manager to ensure finances and budgets are managed effectively. Working with the Project Manager, proactively manage/flag scope creep with client. Ensuring client financial check-ins occur once a month jointly with the Project Managers. Have visibility and demonstrate understanding of forecasting and recognising revenue, share joint responsibility for meeting targets with the Project Manager.
- Day-to-day Delivery: On top of the current status, understanding next steps and working with the Project Manager to drive proactive management of the account. Prepare written briefs to be shared for input from key internal stakeholders before going out for client sign-off. Start to push for excellence in scientific, strategic and creative outputs. Review deliverables to ensure they meet the approved brief and/or all client feedback has been implemented. Working with the Project Manager, ensure project is being managed to delivery spec and deadlines according to client expectations. Jointly lead project wash-ups with the Project Manager. Work with team to tackle problems. Attendance of weekly resource planning, helping PM to ensure all bookings are in place.
- Business Development: Start driving organic growth by recognising new business opportunities within existing accounts and discussing these with senior leads. Active involvement in new business pitches and credentials.
- Leadership and Direction: Lead by example for junior members of the team. Start to inspire great work from across the agency disciplines.
- Line Management and Team Development: Start to line manage Business Coordinators (in conjunction with a Project Manager). Effectively/appropriately delegate to build experience within the team. Provide prompt feedback to support learning and continual team development.
- Communication: For standard projects, lead project kick-offs and briefings. Confident in client presentations and calls. Adapt communication based on client/internal team needs. Able to take client feedback and compile this for internal teams. Beginning to undertake difficult conversations with clients. Solidify relationships with colleagues.
- Collaboration: Actively participate in meetings, including creative briefings and presentations.
Knowledge, skills and abilities: Previous experience in healthcare and pharma advertising. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Excellent written and verbal communication. Digital, media, social and analytics knowledge a plus.
