Job Responsibilities

  • Work with medical directors to ensure that projects are technically accurate, audience appropriate, and meet stated objectives.
  • Research and develop outlines and select references appropriate for a project; identify relevant congresses and provide support.

Strategic Skills/Tools

  • Ensure that the medical insights being provided to the client are accurate, credible, and in line with product strategy (with support from MDs).
  • Work with medical directors to begin to monitor and identify relevant literature and news articles and provide a point of view to internal teams and clients.
  • Set up competitive alerts and disseminate relevant articles to the appropriate team members.
  • Learn to navigate key medical web tools (e.g., PubMed, clinicaltrials.gov, GlobalData, Up-To-Date) and disseminate relevant information to medical directors.
  • Refresh or develop, as needed, medical backgrounders for existing business.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate attentiveness to detail and a strong interest in the subject.
  • Participate in proprietary workshops.

Client Relationships

  • Participate in medically relevant client interactions as appropriate.
  • Onboard new team members as needed.

Business Development

  • Develop new business medical backgrounders and provide research support.
  • Contribute to the development of pitch materials.
