Senior Buyer - Womenswear - Day Tops and Dresses - £50-60,000

This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing fashion brands as a Womenswear Buyer, working across the daywear dresses and tops categories.

This role will either suit someone who is currently a Buyer and looking for their next step, or someone currently operating at Senior Buyer level looking for a new challenge within a forward-thinking and fast-paced buying team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility and ownership for delivering commercial ranges across the daywear dresses and tops categories.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the buying team.
  • Working with the Merchandiser to deliver robust seasonal and quarterly plans.
  • Working closely with Designers to deliver on brand quality ranges at speed.
  • Building balanced ranges across fabrication, shape, trims, colour and price point.
  • Manage the weekly buy for your categories, alongside the Designer.
  • Trade weekly – ensuring forward stock is reflective of weekly trading patterns, managing the intake to ensure stock is landing at the right time.
  • Responsibility for the critical path and ensuring that deadlines are being met.
  • Deliver department strategies and performance updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure the customer is at the heart of all decisions, including colour, print, design and fit.
  • Review and analyse data to drive commercial buying decisions.
  • Identify trends, gaps and new opportunities to maximise sales.
  • Contribute to improving processes and introducing new ways of working as the business continues to grow.
  • Deliver against agreed KPIs including sales, margin and stock targets.
  • Manage supplier relationships – identifying risks and opportunities alongside the technical, design and sourcing teams.

About You

  • Proven womenswear fashion buying experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong commercial eye and a real passion for product.
  • Ideally you will have buying experience working across online/e-commerce and bricks and mortar retail.
  • Strong range planning and building skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and experience of working with varying types of fabrications and price points.
  • Extremely organised with the ability to prioritise and work at pace.
  • Highly analytical and strong on Excel.
