About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive Plant Hire Coordinator to join our team.

This is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for coordinating the hire and off-hire of plant and equipment, ensuring excellent service is delivered to both clients and suppliers.

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accurate records and documentation.

Pay will be negotiated on skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the hire and off-hire of plant and equipment in line with operational requirements.
  • Liaise effectively with suppliers and clients to arrange, amend, and monitor hire activities.
  • Accurately record all hire transactions and activity within the company's plant hire software.
  • Provide regular Live Hire reports to clients on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure all plant documentation, certificates, inspections, and compliance records are current and correctly maintained.
  • Maintain accurate and well organized records of all plant movements and associated documentation.
  • Communicate regularly with managers, team members, suppliers, and clients to ensure all hire requirements are met.
  • Resolve queries and issues promptly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
  • Support the wider team with administrative and operational tasks as required.
  • Provide information to management and all stakeholders as and when needed.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a plant hire, construction, logistics role is desirable, but training will be provided to the right candidate.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Good maths skills with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages, especially Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Working Hours: 8 AM - 5AM Monday to Friday
