People Partner (12 Months Maternity Leave Cover)

We are seeking an ambitious, hard‑working individual to join our People Team and take it to the next level.

You will continually challenge the status‑quo to ensure that we are the best People team in the business.

In addition to ensuring compliance of all usual HR protocols, you will provide a comprehensive, proactive and efficient HR service by providing information, guidance and coaching to employees and managers across all employment related matters, in support of the HR and business strategy, working across all brands within the Inside Ideas Group.

Working alongside the Senior People Partners, you will support the roll‑out of key People initiatives to help deliver the OLIVER HR People strategy.

This role will support our onsite, office‑based and remote/hybrid teams.

It is varied, fast‑paced and requires someone who can think on their feet, be proactive, be agile and hungry to learn and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be the dedicated regional point of contact for employees and managers across the Inside Ideas Group (IIG) within the UK.
  • Line‑manage HR administrators, delivering training and developmental support for career development.
  • Represent people partnering within the monthly payroll meetings and provide guidance on process improvements to support reduction in errors.
  • Own and deliver end‑to‑end change management programmes, including but not limited to redundancies, restructuring and TUPE.
  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to encourage redeployment opportunities.
  • Coaching and supporting managers on staffing issues in the areas of performance management, sickness, absence, conduct and capability, escalating to the Senior People Partner as appropriate.
  • Monitor employee feedback and work closely with stakeholders to drive engagement, development and support.
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings to foster engagement and encourage active contribution.
  • Build and maintain an excellent knowledge of employees, objectives and business processes within IIG.
  • Support the salary review process with stakeholders, challenging decisions where appropriate with supporting evidence.
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of UK employment law to ensure advice given is current and accurate.
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset using reflective practices.
  • Actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes to processes and procedures to ensure we continually deliver a great employee experience.
  • Support Senior People Partners with any ad‑hoc projects or assignments.
  • Provide reports to the business regarding HR metrics.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working as an HR generalist.
  • Strong demonstrable experience of dealing with the end‑to‑end process for complex employee relations issues such as disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies, etc.
  • Experience of providing an effective HR service with up‑to‑date knowledge of current legislation.
  • Proactive in your approach to improving and providing effective and efficient support of all HR activities.
  • Strong attention to detail under pressure & working with high volumes, with the ability to manage a number of tasks simultaneously.
  • High levels of tenacity & a delivery‑focused approach.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, push back, ask questions & comfortable in environments of change.
  • Highly organised with a natural ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Someone who likes to have fun while working hard in a tough environment.
