Oliver Wyman Vector is seeking a Lead Specialist for Digital Services & Transformation (Aviation/Aerospace/Defence/Rail sectors) to join our team in London. Oliver Wyman Vector is a special business unit focused on top-tier technical consulting and services to the aviation, aerospace, defence, and rail sectors.
Responsibilities
- Client Engagement: Collaborating with clients to understand digital transformation needs and lead discussions on strategic initiatives. Conducting workshops to assess IT strategy and identify opportunities for leveraging digital solutions to enhance operational excellence.
- Digital Solution Consulting: Advising on Buy Versus Build decisions; guiding Solution Selection by defining business requirements, evaluating systems, and facilitating vendor negotiations.
- System Integration and Execution: Leading the integration of digital solutions, ensuring alignment with goals; overseeing go-live activities and driving change management for client readiness and adoption.
- Data Strategy and Analytics: Partnering with clients to implement advanced data science and analytics strategies; building data-driven environments optimized for operational effectiveness.
- Continuous Improvement Initiatives: Evaluating existing processes and implementing optimized workflows that leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency; driving innovation in digital service delivery.
- Mentoring and Development: Mentoring junior team members in digital practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and promoting knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years’ experience in the aviation, rail, defence or aerospace industry, focusing on IT transformations, especially within aviation or rail.
- Familiarity with major E&M IT systems, e.g., AMOS, Trax, SAP/iMRO, IFS.
- Proven project management experience with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on strategic planning and execution.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at presenting complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Education to at least Degree level.
Working Arrangement
Please note: Oliver Wyman/Marsh operates a hybrid working policy; this role involves at least 60% travel to client sites around the UK and Europe.
