About the Role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an experienced Practice Manager (Business Impact Manager) for our Consumer, Technology and Telecoms (CTT) practice to join the European Business Impact Team on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract. The Business Impact Manager supports the growth of Oliver Wyman Europe by enabling regional business development and management activities. The role collaborates with a Senior Business Impact Manager and orchestrates practice staff and infrastructure support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and leverage trusted relationships with practice leadership, teams, and relevant infrastructure functions.
  • Manage or support recurring activities critical to the long‑term success and smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.
  • Strategic topics
    • Develop and implement strategies for commercial, corporate, or people development.
    • Support periodic planning activities.
    • Deliver strategic decision‑support analyses.
  • Commercial activities
    • Key account planning.
    • High‑impact opportunity management.
    • Pipeline management.
  • Business operations
    • Prepare and facilitate internal meetings.
    • Track and follow up on action items.
    • Manage the business to‑do list, prioritise tasks and initiatives.
    • Execute people‑management processes such as objective‑setting cycles.
    • Execute compliance processes.
    • Engage and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Manage or support ad‑hoc initiatives according to the needs of the practice.
  • Identify and implement improvements in strategic, commercial or operational processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Show leadership within the Business Impact Team, leading key internal projects or initiatives and enabling the success of fellow members.
  • Provide coverage where needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in professional services; experience at a leading management consulting firm highly desirable.
  • Experience dealing with confidential and business‑critical issues.
  • Quantitative skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Proficient user of generative AI tools in a business context.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages, particularly French, are a plus.
