About Us: At Oliver Valvetek Limited, we are world‑class manufacturers of subsea valves for the global oil and gas industry. We provide high-reliability solutions for demanding subsea applications and we are now looking for an experienced Senior Subsea Engineer to join our team in Dundee, Scotland.

Role: In this role, you will lead the design and development of new subsea valves while supporting the maintenance and evolution of our existing product line. You will focus heavily on Front‑End Engineering Design (FEED) to develop bespoke product solutions for both new and existing clients. Collaborating closely with the Valvetek sales team, you will help identify, scope, and develop new business opportunities in alignment with our management team’s vision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Business Development: Act as the primary customer‑facing technical contact for FEED project activities and future scope discussions. Scope and review sales orders thoroughly before releasing them to the main Engineering team. Work collaboratively with the sales team to unlock and technical‑proof new business opportunities.
  • Design, Review & Qualification: Contribute to and coordinate critical input for the gate valve qualification programme, with a strategic focus on the Brazilian market. Review and check production drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Perform engineering calculations and complex design activities as your product competency develops.

Role Progression Timeline

  • Initially, you will be hands‑on with: CAD modelling, drawing creation, and BOM population.
  • As you embed into the team, you will progress to: Checking and approving the work of other engineers. Full technical specification reviews and sign‑offs.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
