What You’ll Be Doing as a Workshop Operative:
- Assembling valves from machined components
- Carrying out basic functional testing
- Helping out with general workshop tasks like packing and dispatch
- Supporting other processes such as NDT when needed
- Working towards daily targets as part of a team
- Keeping your workspace clean, safe, and organised
No two days are exactly the same, and as a workshop operative, you will be right at the heart of what we do.
What You’ll Bring:
- We are not expecting you to know everything from day one; full training is provided for every workshop operative.
- Have some assembly or fitting experience (helpful, but not essential)
- Are reliable and take pride in your work
- Have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team
- Are keen to learn and get stuck in as a workshop operative
- Have basic numeracy, literacy, and communication skills

Here’s what you can expect as a workshop operative with us:
- Starting at £13.20 per hour, increasing to £13.50 per hour after 4 month probation + discretionary annual bonus with opportunity to earn more when you learn more
- Overtime opportunities at x1.5 your hourly rate
- Guaranteed hours in a clean low risk environment (no overnight or rotating shifts)
- Annual leave starting at 31 days a year (includes bank holidays)
